The project
Researchers at the Population Environment Development Laboratory (IRD / Aix-Marseille University) and schools in the North and South are launching a new project "Children's Drawings"Origin of the initiative
The exhibition "Living Natures, Pictures of Children" at the Musée de l'Homme in November 2007 enabled researchers to work together to collect drawings of children from around the world. With the instruction to "Draw their Nature", children from eleven regions (Siberia, Gabon, Greenland, Kurdistan, Madagascar, Guyana, France ...) represented their close environment. These have been the contextualized by researchers working in these countries. This research gave birth to an exhibition and a book: "Nature of the World, Children's Drawings" published in 2010.
Faced with a rapid transformation of the environment in which we live, has emerged the desire to complete this first experience with a new project.
This project will give rise to visibility at the IUCN World Conservation Congress, in 2020 in Marseille, in the form of an exhibition. In addition, a traveling exhibition will be set up in the various participatory schools to allow an exchange between children of countries in the North and South.
Among the places of study, will be represented Madagascar, Bangladesh, Senegal and France and other schools.
Thus it is envisaged (to be defined) a second visit next year with the drawings made by these children and those of other schools.

Les chercheur.e.s du Laboratoire Population Environnement Développement (IRD/ Aix-Marseille Université) et des écoles de pays au Nord et au Sud lancent un nouveau projet “Dessins d’enfants”.Origine de l'initiative
A l’occasion de “L’exposition Natures vivantes, Regards d’enfants” au Musée de l’Homme en Novembre 2007, des chercheurs ont travaillé en collaboration pour recueillir des dessins d’enfants du Monde. Avec comme consigne de “Dessiner leur Nature”, des enfants de onze régions (Sibérie, Gabon, Groenland, Kurdistan, Madagascar, Guyane, France...) ont représenté leur environnement proche. Ceux-ci ont fait l’objet d’une mise en contexte sociale et scientifique par des chercheur.e.s travaillant dans ces pays. Cette recherche a donné naissance à une exposition et un ouvrage: “Nature du Monde, Dessins d’Enfants” paru en 2010.
Face à une transformation rapide de l’environnement dans lequel nous vivons, a émergé l’envie de compléter cette première expérience par un nouveau projet.
